A guide through Gothenburg - City / Sweden

If you are a tourist in Gothenburg,
maybe the first thing you will
start from will be the central-station (Gothenburg's railwaystation).

A 'block' from there is Brunnsparken
located. This is where the 'centrum'
for shopping is, would many people say. From this place, you will
also have
a view at the "German Church" that playing a melody at some
hour-times.

If you go by tram two stops and looking
for the city's librarian -
Stadsbiblioteket, it will be the yellow bulding. This place is called
Götaplatsen. The artmusem, is also located here.

When you walk upstairs, above the artmusems
entrance you will have a
pretty good view over the Gothenburg avenue. This street is where
things use to happen. Like demonstrations, carnevals,
"party life" at nights ..

If you walk down the avenue and just
want to have a ordinary view
of the street, maybe it look like this. You could see the artmusem
from here, it's the building that ends the street in the background.

When you have walked about 10 minutes
(still the same direction,
-you will pass 'brunnsparken' again), you'll soon reach the city's
river Götaälv. But just before that, you have to stop and look at
this
building. (I don't know why, but you do..) And maybe you decide to
go
nearer. This building have a outlook-tower for visitors.

Now, when you are there, you look proberly
up. Becouse there is a bridge
(called Götaälvbron). You can go by car or tram over this bridge,
- which also is a draw-bridge, or you can walk.

Standing on the bridge, you have a
view over the river. In the far
background you can see the other bridge in Gothenburg - Älsvborgsbron
(this page "logo").
